Extranjeria in Valdivia

Post by alextrombone » Tue Oct 29, 2019 9:50 pm

Hi, I’m getting married to a Chilean in a couple of weeks (within Chile) and plan to apply for the spouse visa shortly after (I’m currently on a tourist visa). I just wondered if anyone on this forum has had experience with the extranjeria in Valdivia. You are able to make an appointment online or at least be put on a waiting list, but is it ever possible just to show up and be seen?. I have all the necessary documents ready bar the marriage certificate.

Many thanks.

I think you misunderstood me.

I’m not getting married in the Registro Civil, but yes, that is where I had to organise my wedding.

I was under the impression you had to go to the Extranjeria to apply for a visa.

It’s more to do with how I apply when the time comes . Is it best to make an appointment or just show up early one morning?
