Hi

Post by Bnjrchrdsn » Sun Oct 13, 2019 11:05 am

Hi all,

Thanks for accepting me to your forum.
I am an English guy who has married a Chilean woman, in the short term we are in the UK but I am interested in any advice in relocating to Chile ( specifically Santiago), I love the country and people ( visited many times) and want to be closer to my wife's family.
Obviously I'd need to work, I'm currently learning Spanish but would be very interested in any companies that could use my skills and experience; I am a very experienced chartered construction manager currently specialising in the residential sector.

Many thanks in advance

Ben

Hello Ben, welcome to the forum.

Apart from the work related bit, is there anything else you are interested in?

Hi, interested in lots but obviously to make it viable I need to sort a job out first.
Is there a British community of any sorts in Santiago or Chile? I've not bumped into any on my trips.

Ben

What do you do for a living? What is your trade or profession? What would you like to do?

He's a chartered construction manager, he has mentioned it on the first part. With the right networking, a good construction manager can probably make some money here working on the private sector, building for gringos and building high-end residences. Language skills and a contacts at the right places are a must, though.

Many thanks for your replies.
I appreciate any advice.
I do build luxury properties, the safety, techniques, materials, and quality are much more advanced in the UK construction industry, I hope to make a career in Chile using the skills I have learned.
