Expired Tourist Visa

Post by Lisarobinettdiaz » Fri Jun 29, 2018 11:49 am

I have a quick question about an expired tourist visa and also a temporary visa en trámite. As soon as I got to Chile I processed my temporary visa for my son and myself but there seems to be issues . My son has to have a bank account and his birth certificate isn’t legalized in the United States and I don’t have a work offer from a place here in Chile. Another thing my application for my temporary visa along with all of the requirements that I’m not gonna be able to provide expired two weeks ago June 19 . What I should’ve done in the first place was just go to Mendoza and got a new stamp but instead I tried to do it the legal way and do the temporary visa but it’s not gonna be approved so does anybody have any idea if I cross into Mendoza after I pay my fine for over extending my tourist visa will I be able to return back to Chile the same day .

Once you file for temp residency, you dont need to renew your tourist visa.

Yep. When you file you are legal until they either reject or aprove it.
