$524 Billion coming into the US and only $187 Billion outgoing to China for 2017. So where is Xi-Jingpin going to find the target retaliation amount to get even to Trump's squeeze? China has got to give, or they will lose more than expected.

It's all about Trump's second term and November elections as the necessary first step towards that goal.

Tariffs will hit US companies/financials (globalists by definition) harder than China forcing them to kowtow to Trump.

https://seekingalpha.com/article/418697 ... block=true

Apple is a good case in point. Not only it takes a direct hit in sales, but might also face a PR nightmare both domestically and in China. The only good move for them is to swallow the bullet and kowtow. Ditto for a whole bunch of others.

Hence Trump rides into November with an impressive list of 'successes' from North Korea and increased NATO military spending, to 'tamed' Russia/China and subdued globalists/fake media.

Well he messed with the military inustrial complex. he messed with the bottom line. He hit the powers that be in the pocket book.....and suprise, suprise everyone turned on him including the republicans.

The press conference mess was just the excuse they were looking for.

When i seen the faces of the russians enter the press conference, laughing and smiling, i knew that was not going to end well. Russians dont smile unless they are really, really happy.

By comparison the u.s. delegation look like they were in the middle of rectal exam.

But, he did not say a thing he had not said before, and that was what everyone got outraged about?

Not kids in cages.

Not peddling influence.

Not support for nei-nazis, sexuel harresing women, etc, etc.

Not generaly being a ass.

It was his moronic trade war that will be his undoing.

Every vote counts in the united states. Share holder votes that is.

Well, it was the first time Putin officially came out and said he was rooting for Trump in the elections.

But, more importantly, I think they're outraged about Putin's proposal that in exchange for allowing Mueller to question/prosecute the 12 GRU staff members, Russia should be allowed to question/prosecute staff members of the US special services that acted as the 'roof' for the former American tax-dodging billionaire who stole money from Russia and funneled it to the Hillary campaign.

Having voiced this 'proposal', Putin effectively put Trump in the position where he has everything he needs to either consolidate his power for the next 6+ years (joining up with Russia-OPEC to control EU/China via oil/gas prices which would also resolve the US trade deficit) or be overthrown in the next few months and replaced with someone who can kill the Clinton hydra and get on with the program.

Putin has been waiting for 2.5 years now, his patience is basically running out. At first he needed the time to finalize deployment of his super weapons that make Russia invincible. But now that at least some of them have been deployed and tested, there's no need to waste any more time before starting the next round of the big game.

And russia just liquidated most of its u.s. treasury holdings over the last two months (and bought gold):

The fun conspiracy rich version from zero hedge:

And confirmed by bloomberg:

Russia is ramping up at least for the november election, but chances are something far more spooky. Perhaps they just dont want to get caught with dollats when the music stops. Bejing may weponize its u.s. treasuries too.

Interesting side note chile was listed as the smallest, large holder of u.s. treasuries, that has to be at least 30 billion to be disclosed.

Me - popcorn face stuffing stuff (since we peons have no say in these matters) but with dire implications if something goes wrong (and begins with nuclear flashes up north and ends in a slow collapse of civ/MadMax scenario for us down south). I do believe we would already be living the latter if Deep State lets invade Syria and bomb Iran, NK and nuke Russia Clinton was elected. JMO before someone gets their panties wound too tight after another dose of Western developed world MSM brainwashing. :alien:

Nothing wrong with gold (and silver). The US Constitution has something to say about that.

Idiot Chile with their NYC based emergency reserve fund in dollars and UST. Assholes... Pino and subsequent leaders may have been smart enough not to privatize CODELCO but selling all gold reserves and a USD-only reserve fund :?:

Russia has sold 82 of 100 billion in US treasury bonds in the last two months.

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-07- ... y-holdings

Likewise Russia has recently reduced their external debt.
https://tradingeconomics.com/russia/external-debt

On June 1 when sanctions on Russia were renewed for another year, there was celebration in Russia, as the sanctions are perceived to make Russia stronger.

Here this is fun. "The rich are plotting to leave us all behind". The guy really is just promoting his book, and hope he does not ramble on in his book like he does in this article; but, still fun.

Xi jinpin has retaliated against Trump's increased tariff and threatens to cease US produced soy beans buy shifting to Brazil. But Brazil can not accommodate sudden increase for their soy beans for least 2~3 years. So where is China going to get the missing majority import of much needed grain for their swine raising and cow's foods?

Why Soybeans Are at the Heart of the U.S.-China Trade War
By Megan Durisin and Sam Dodge
Published: July 5, 2018 | Updated: July 9, 2018
China’s newly imposed tariffs against U.S. soybeans herald a major trade shift for a crop that’s soared to prominence in recent decades.
While the Asian nation is targeting a slew of American farm goods in this round of taxes, soybeans are the top agricultural commodity the country imports from the U.S. by far. The oilseed, used to make cooking oil and animal feed, accounts for about 60 percent of the U.S.’s $20 billion of agricultural exports to China. Before the tariffs were announced, a study by the University of Tennessee forecast that a 25 percent duty would spark a drop in American shipments of at least $4.5 billion. Brazil, already the world’s biggest soybean shipper, is set to be the biggest winner, filling the gap left by the U.S.
