Here is a nice round-up of what is up with argentina:

https://www.euromoney.com/article/b17pm ... han-brazil

That is not even remotly suprising. All the moron international investors that started the "miracle of argentina" chant (again) need to get their pockets cleaned out ( again ).

My prediction, argentina spirals down, throwing patches at the sinking ship, and finally implodes (again) in a very spectacular manner sometime between the 2019 election and 2020 global / dowturn recession caused by u.s. interest rates hikes and general slow down as its deficits get out of control again.

Among many problems, Argentina has a structural / constitution problem it still has not fixed wich allows the provences to borrow money in the federal goverments name. It has basically been the root cause of at the least the last three defaults, afyer the federal goverment started mucking around with things like the exchange rates and subsidies. Those distortions blow up the provincial books, that eventually blows up the entire economy.
