Bringing archery equipment to Chile.

Post by Spudzilla » Sat May 05, 2018 10:27 pm

I was considering bringing my recurve bow with me to Chile. Has anyone had any experience in bringing a bow to Chile. Are the considered a restricted item? What about arrows? Field points, broadheads?

Not aware of any restrictions. They are classified like knives, and i have shipped a lot of knives i have bought off of amazon over the years without a problem. You can buy bows at all sorts of outdoor stores in chile that do not sell fire arms.

That is interesting,I was looking at crossbows and I thought they were regulated the same as firearms, requiring permit, etc. Sounds like standard manual bows and arrows might not be regulated at all?
