Spanish language school recommendations

Post by hoperto » Thu Apr 19, 2018 9:58 am

Hi!

We're moving to Chile in a few weeks and as it is confirmed a bit unexpectedly, current Spanish language skills are close to 0.
Could anyone recommend a certain good language schools in Santiago?

Googling it gives me an idea that most of the language schools i see are focused on tourists and quite overpriced (around a 850-1000$ / month for group classes doesn't seems reasonable).

Most likely will take classes for 4-6months.

Thanks!

Moving permanently? Or for few months due to work?

Somebody had posted a similar question in March:

Thinking on my comments there, why don't you consider hiring an instructor directly yourself?

If you search for something like "Chile Clases profesores particulares de español para extranjeros" you might get a list like the one in this page:

Studied a few languages both with personal classes and in small groups in languages schools. Second works better for me.

The best way to learn a language is by immersing yourself by watching kids cartoons, soap operas and commercials in tv. Then buy a good pocket dictionary to carry with you and practice, practice, practice.

I don't really intend to debate on this subject.

The topic of this forum thread is quite concrete: "Spanish language school recommendations".
