Recently, I believe I have confirmed the absolute maximum you can take out of an chilean ATM at once. In all of chile, only banco estado appears to have this uber cap....everywhere else its 200k. It is 800K in a single transaction at a banco estado atm...due to unrelated issues I upped a debit card US limit I have to $1500 daily atm withdrawal and after hitting several estado atm's over several days, to account for ATM's that are low on funds, this seems to be the hard limit regardless of exchange rate.

Yup pretty much spot on. My new Schwab card arrives in a few days that reimburses all ATM fees, including foreign atm fees. I will be entering the nirvana of no fee ultimate international cash transfer. 800K a day is pretty adequate. I just hope banco estado keeps this up for a long time at least long enough until the peso turns into the hulk and spirals back down to the days of 400-500 clp per usd
