Work as English teacher
Re: Work as English teacher
Ok, now you are getting downright creepy. I am flagging that post.
A woodsman was once asked, “What would you do if you had just five minutes to chop down a tree?” He answered, “I would spend the first two and a half minutes sharpening my axe.” - Dubious source on the internet

Re: Work as English teacher
Dude, you probably better beat it off this forum. I am reading your stuff on the Roosh V forum, and I will start copying and pasting it here. Pretty sure you don't want the other folks to see that. You haven't seen angry yet, but you will when they read what you are really like.

Re: Work as English teacher
He's just trolling now because he wants some revenge and noticed before that people are getting angry from his pickup guru attitude.
Re: Work as English teacher
He's a bit of a wanker. It's Saturday night in Australia and he's on here

Re: Work as English teacher
o.k., that was fun for a while, but I got better crap to do than read troll posts.

Re: Work as English teacher
I've been living as an English teacher in Santiago for a bit over a year now. I don't know how it is in other parts of the country, but here the best way to go is by doing private classes. If you're lucky, you'll get a job at a small institute that finds students for you.
From there, you can start trying to make connections and try to find your own students. I never took a CELTA course and nobody really requires it. It might be nice to have, but you can get by without certification. I applied at four small institutions after I arrived and they all hired me on the spot. I don't think it's as complicated as others make it seem if you have the right personality and paperwork. Competitive wages at private institutions are around 10.000/hour, which is usually about 15.000/class. You can earn a lot more with private students, but you'll need your own material.
I will note that I have a degree in English literature and that I came to this country because I have double nationality. I believe this combination has made things a bit easier for me. If you do it right, you can be working as little as 20-25 hours a week and living pretty comfortably, assuming you don't have a family to take care of or debt to pay, etc. I hope this information helps. This is my first post here.
