With a little luck, hopefully that is the end of it. They are going to have a hard time selling an extension after that.

La Cámara de Diputados aprobó la solicitud del Presidente de la República de extender hasta el 30 de septiembre la vigencia del estado de catástrofe.

Despite all the previous posturing, the senate too approved.

Extended through 30 September.

Now the question is will average chileans put up with continued impositions of phase 1 and phase 2 etc

I gotta say...I wasnt even sure the average Chilean would put up with it this month. More and more people are just like "screw it" and going out on airplane mode.

Even the checkpoints of the pacos seems to have died down for phase 1 communes. Novelty has worn off

Its going to be very surprising if there isnt a watershed.
The government may have been better off lifting the state of emergency or at least only another 2-4weeks because I dont think there is much hope of average chileans abiding by the phase 1 and 2 up until the end of september
