Japan have invited Chile to G20 there next year.
Apec in Chile next year.
Chile to host the world climate summit in 2020 (after Brazil stepped down, due to financial issues)

this article sums up the whole mattis departure. can you spot the change in the oval office new renovation that trump just completed?

I like when Mad Dog wrote: You have the right to employ a defense secretary to agree with your each move! I also liked when he supposedly said, hmmm Trump has the mentality of a 5 year old! Trump now without Mattis that served as deterrent to trigger happy Trmpf, the chubby NK boy should be worried that anytime soon, the US missiles will be whooshing over his head!

i had a good chuckle this morning with the blatent piece of maduro / russian propaganda on zero hedge:

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-12- ... tam-states

setting aside the rediculas historical conspiracy theory, there might be signs elsewhere that maduro's days are numbered.

1. election coming up for a new term, and countries have already said they will not recognize the results.

2. mattis right hand man was assigned to run the 4th fleet, just before his departure. which would be a demotion, if something was not in the works. that fleet has not done much ever. i find it hard to believe a high ranking and politicaly well connected officer would have their career put out to pasture by taking over a command that has never done anything and is expected to do nothing.

3. rumors that the bond vultures might be going to work launching a cordinated attack on venezuelan to sieze assets over the Christmas holiday.

4. mattis out, means bolten at the helm of the u.s. security apparatus.

there just seems to be a cordinated squeeze on venezuela right now.

half billion dollar loan cut off by latin american countries to venezuela.

then we have the recent u.s. / latan america exercises including chile f-16s. seems chile, brazil, colombia, and peru are the most heavily represented militaries in the exercise.

https://www.airforcetimes.com/news/your ... -partners/

notice those exercises closely coincide with the russian show of sending bombers, and iran sending ships. i find it interesting the narative in the u.s. press was that those were unprovoked provaktive moves by russia and iran to support maduro, and never mentioned the jiont exercises that were going on.

the speculation that something is the works is acceleratingg now that mattis is gone, but all indications are mattis supported a removal of maduro.

i support the idea that maduro / chavez / castro regime is long past it's due date in venezuela.

i am just concerned that the u.s. trump administration is looking at this as a game of tic tac toe, not even checkers or chess, when infact the complexity of war is more strategicaly and tacticaly a game of chinese Go.

i find the statements about just bombing a few strategic buildings, and taking a few airports, overly simplistic, trump type thinking; that an experience military commander such as mattis would naturaly push back against.

that the cia is stocking up on spanish speaking analyst is a bit disturbing. because if venezuela is not on the menue, who else is being prioritized in spanish speaking countries?

who fixes that broken country after? is the u.s. going to let just let the chinese and russians move in after? is the rest of latin america going to step up and pay for it?

i also find this recent declarations out of the blue that mexico was going to suddendly commit 32 billion in resources to development in central america and the u.s. was going to kick in 18 billion strange, considering in general latin american countries have a long history of not interviening or assisting neighboring countries (for obvious reasons). it has more of a message from mexico "we won't directly help with intervention in venezuela, but will commit resources to manage the humanitarian crisis it will create in the region at least for our own security".

here is a very recent statment by mattis that maduro must go, but venezuelans should do it.

https://www.newsweek.com/will-us-launch ... ns-1241548

but i could see that not being the trump / bolten style, and being just another straw that lead to mattis resignation. trump is obviously atracted to a wild west / guns blazing style of military leadership.
