For an investment of about $50 and whatever grade camera you feel like using, you can set up a cheapo computer to surveil a problem area and only store footage when it detects movement (ie changes in what it sees). I did it with a Raspberry Pi, a cheap $6 webcam, and "motion" software.
That, and get you a telescoping thug-beating stick.

Ah, and "who is John Galt?"
Robert is someone who posted on this forum using the userid "Patagoniax", sometimes called "Px".
For some, he is this forum's "bogeyman".
They are accusing you of being him.

I accept chaos. I'm not sure whether it accepts me.

Cool! I had no idea I was notorious! Have not been this popular since I shelled DRC supply convoys back in 00.

I wouldn't count on any help from the police, that is a joke. Maybe you can make them a public outcast instead. I like to sleep with a hammer in my bedside table just in case. You could at least beak a couple of his bones next time. BTW G&J, 5150.
Wow! I sleep with a Cocked Hammer beside my bed.. Several of them.

I say RPGs by the bedside. you don't need to aim so well

and if you wake up a few of your paying guests, you can let them have a go (no more than one grenade per customer, please)

Neighbors to the left, to the right and across the street have been robbed. Since then I invested in an electrical fence and adopted a street dog in addition to the one I already had. I also have a Louisville Slugger which I happily take out to the street with along with my dogs, off leash, rounding up the neighbors every time an alarm goes off or something suspicious arises. I like to think that those watching from the shadows take note and pick on an easier target. So far so good.
Regarding the Rat method: It is kind compared to mine should anyone lay a finger on my kids.
We agree to disagree.
