It was declared a state secret to keep the little orange orangutan trying to sieze the shipments in transit, and to keep other criminal organizations away.

That said, there should be a whole lot more info flowing. nothing.

They were suppose to be new shipments of phizer vacccine at a rate of around 80,000 a week. nothing.

and what sort of beucratic circle jerk they got going on for the other vaccine approvals, I have no idea. chile has exactly fuck all to do with the science involved. they need to read the dam reports, clean their rubber stamps, and approve them.

what I think is really going on: fucking vacation season. those over paid entitled asses in the government, decided they were going to go on vacation. They will get back to the pandemic at the end of February.

I really think what we are seeing is the analog of the 1918 phase or second wave of the Spanish flue.

The numbers around the World are off the rails, with a vaccine that will not be deployed for another 6 months any great amounts, means we are too late to avoid it.

That ship has sailed, probably around 6 months ago. The World really is not doing anything all that different, or at least is not using any tools all that differently, than the 1918 pandemic. Hell, not even all that different than the black death in the 13th century.

There is one real difference. We can now get on an airplane and fly to other side of the World in less time than it takes to incubate a case to the point of being contagious.

I am afraid that continued mobility, is going to add an acceleration factor to this wave, that no one is really taking in to account. The speed at which the new variants, seems to be indicating that is true.

Ireland, has the highest rate in the world now. They are just getting their genetic testing up and running. They ran preliminary genetic tests on like 94 samples, and 42 came back positive for the new variant.

That cat is out of the bag. We just don't have the genetic testing net to monitor it.

Conservationists are very worried about the mountain gorillas in Africa, Covid may wipe them out, I wouldn’t want to be the vet who tried to inoculates them 😳

yep, figured the Chinese vaccines were bullshit,

now brazil is admitting that when they add back in the "mild cases" to the trial data (WTF?), the sinovac vaccine is only 50.4% efficient.

and sinovac is already making excuses. They say it was less effective because the trial participants were high risk medical workers. Again, WTF?

That is exactly who it should be able to protect, to be certain it can protect the general population.

El Mercurio today, first hard info I have seen in a while. Appears believable. BioNTech is a new name to me.

BioNTech was the German company that actually researched and developed the vaccine. They've partnered with Pfizer to use Pfizer's production infrastructure to have the scale needed to make enough vaccine doses.

Each media outlet is referring to the vaccine in a different way, although American and Chilean media are usually referring to it mostly as "the Pfizer vaccine".
