Caravan "No More Quarantine" ~ Los Lagos

https://www.biobiochile.cl/noticias/nac ... agos.shtml

"...It is specifically the sectors of commerce, gastronomy and tourism that are the most affected and those who organized this protest action, where according to the information provided by the organizers, more than a thousand vehicles participated..."
Maybe if they listened to the advice and did what was required at the beginning rather than thinking the rules didn't apply to them, if they hadn't been dishonest and complied with health advice, then just perhaps, they wouldn't be in this mess. Of course this is the usual bs reaction 🙄 for most of the population when they think rules don't apply to them.

By the way there is only 10 ICU beds avaliable in Puerto Montt, staff are under enormous strain and pressure at the hospital.

Everyone wants all the benefits and freedoms but none of the responsibilities.
Guess it Happens all the time. Its the same thing with water allocation in the zona central. Or rather lack of enforcement. Everyone bitched and moaned and cried what a tragedy it was that Laguna Aculeo had dried up. Why? It wasn't just the drought, it was unregulated extraction of water when everyone put down their own well on their parcelas , to suck out water to keep their grass green and fill their swimming pools. Then they cry to the authorities whe there is no water and can't understand it.

so, how big a waist of time is the temperature and symptom screening (A.k.A security theater)?

https://apnews.com/article/virus-outbre ... f913f9acb7

Guess pretty worthless. suprise, suprise.

The really shocking one was the temp screening at an airport that caught 16 cases, OUT OF 675,000 passengers.

How much did chile waist on that dog and pony show?

never mind the silly chemical spraying of public spaces, often in direct sun light.

The one I love is getting my temp checked, twice at a store or somewhere else, often by the same person. yea, I contracted covid, incubated it, and developed a full blown fever in the last 15 mins.

JaJa, many times I've beeped too high because I walk everwhere and in the end, I've never been denied entry into the super. By now, they all know the chino with the tan backpack, sunglasses and reused N95 mask with the lower band hanging in front of his quarantine grown many inches long gray chin beard. That lower band can be pulled down anytime I need to get fresh air. Yes, sir, I comply.
There are two ways to be fooled.

One is to believe what isn't true;

the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

Sorry but Im still skeptical, 5 questions from NY times
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/10/opin ... covid.html
Yea, I think my biggest issue with the vaccine story going around is that was done as a PR stock stunt.

I follow a lot of stocks and their regular press releases. Had that been any other stock or industry, say a mining stock I owned. If they had announced they were starting to do exploratory drilling on one of their properties, I would have just dismissed it (if the notice did not go directly to spam). companies put out hundreds of thousands of those per day.

The big red flag, that makes it standout, is the none comittial nature of the information they published to avoid running afowl of stock regulators or sued by shareholders. Pharma stocks and mining stocks have a lot in common when it comes to hyping dry holes to push their stock price around. In fact I don't onvest in pharmaceutical companies because of it. Too easy to play hide and go seek with data.
So farma execs cashing out when the stock price jumped? Yeah, nah, thats not suspicious 🤔 at all is it?

I was just about to post that. the vaccine is soooo good, the ceo dumped 62% of his stock.

now, they are trying to paper over it saying it was a preprogrammed stock sale, which is commonon. just not 62% of it.

7 beds now available in Puerto Montt ICU but people want to get out and about like nothing has changed.
Lots of ads on the radio saying "coming out of lockdown depends on YOU" . My prediction is things are getting worse and lockdown is not going to end this year in PM.

Yeah, Then he got told to pull his head in by Mr Paris .
Imo , the biggest thing holding Puerto Montts economy and development over the last 8 years has been the pseudo socialist mayor Gervoy Paredes.
As has been pointed out on comments on Llanquihue newspaper that in July he was demanding the government needed to put Puerto Montt under lockdown, guess he has changed his populist mind.
