That's probably the most nutritionally valuable item in the box. Just don't eat it straight!

As a paleo-leaning individual, the can of jurel is the most nutritious item in the box. And it is not from a Chinese boat and is Chilean in origen and production.

Concentrated protein, true - just not a lot of it.
Still, if “The 33” can do it with a few cans of tuna...

united states: 67,000 cases yesterday

Florida alone, 10,000+, 188 deaths, and disney world is open?

Texas just slightly behind Florida.

and the idiot in the white house is going to force open schools?

Think the world needs to seriously consider a hard quarantine on anyone leaving the united states. No one out until they get a handle on it, and that is not going to happen anytime soon.

Don't let the stupidity spill over in to other countries.

The proposal by the Chinese laboratory "CanSino Biologics" to make clinical trials of an experimental genetically engineered vaccine Ad5-nCoV in Chile has been accepted by the Government, as the Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, indicated.

"...The idea is to do phase III clinical tests for this vaccine, which requires 3,000 people and a considerable investment of money....”

Phase II trials were carried out in Canada, part of the research was done in Canada by the National Research Council, the work was on an Ebola vaccine now swinging over to Covid 19, Canada is building out a manufacturing plant to produce the (a) vaccine, it sounds like Phase II is going well......they hope to have go-no go by the end of the year....

yea, I don't even know how to start listing the reasons I will never touch a Chinese vaccine.

I am not anti-vaccine, I am anti-Chinese vaccine.

Let me put it this way, I won't buy egg rolls made in China. I sure as hell am not touching a chinese vaccine.

I have seen first hand the way Chinese conduct scientific research. I taught at a Chinese research university. I have seen them do everything from falsifying data, to leaving thousands of research animals dying in pain, to contaminating other scientists research out of simple carelessness and lack of understanding of basic lab protocols. The most common, is a complete lack of grip on plagiarism in conducting research. It is one thing to copy someone else's research without giving credit. It is a complete other thing to copy research they don't even understand what it is and how use it.

Forget about medical ethics. Does not exist. That is a whole other long cultural debate.

At best, and hopefully, they are just ripping off someone's formula that knew what they were doing, and they are able to accurately replicate it.

doing a check on the nieghbors progress.

so, do these numbers pass the smell test?

peru, pop. 33 million and change.

almost the exact same confirmed cases as Chile, or 320,000 confirmed cases, with twice the population.

https://www.biobiochile.cl/noticias/int ... -mil.shtml

but, almost 12,000 people hospitalized vs. Chile with around 2,000 people hospitalized.

I have a call today with a friend in Lima and Bogota, will try and get some more solid info on what is going on.

Bolivia, the numbers are nearly non-existent. last ones I found was a fuzzy total 10,000 to 12,000 cases.

Argentina, stats are none existent. Even if they were, no way they can be trusted from the Fernandez and company. I see Fernandez claiming that Argentina is the only country in the region testing a vaccine. Argentina Socialist Magical realism, alive and well.

Brazil, well we know they are not even close to reality, but are reporting around 50,000+ a day. They seem like they are kind of hitting testing capacity, but hard to tell if it is capacity issue or a political issue.

It seems that the Phase II trials were not carried out in Canada. The trials were only approved in May and were supposed to last around 8 months, but it looks as if they have not even started.

Vaccine promised for human trials in Canada held up by Chinese customs
Jul 9, 2020

Health Canada says China’s customs are responsible for holding up the shipment of one of the world’s leading vaccine candidates against COVID-19, which the Chinese company that created it agreed to begin testing in humans in Canada almost two months ago.
