He clearly does not believe that the vaccines stops all contagion.
I just wanted to illustrate a long series of self-contradicting statements made in strong terms by the highest c19 authority (the "chief sanitary doctor") of a big country.

Earlier (in mid-March) Popova said that "those who have immunity to COVID-19 could also be a source of infection".

Next, she stated that "those who received both components of the vaccine from Coronavirus could not infect others".

Next, "at the same time, if the vaccinated will get sick, he will be contagious".

And yesterday, "The vaccinated person does not spread the virus."

These statements are all well documented. And this is similar to what is going on in almost any other country. That was my point.

oooo, boy.

MINSAL has ordered that all contacts of those exposed to Delta MUST do their quartine in a government hotel; not at home.

10 people refused.

Minsal ordered them detained, and they sent the police to force them in to quartine at the government hotel.

yes, that is as legally dubious as it sounds, for a whole pile of reasons.

While I agree with the point you are making, ....Did you really expect that everybody would know who Anna Popova is? And, that in addition to knowing where she works, we would remember everything she has said? If the best link you could find to her statements was in a Russian website, I don't think that I am the only one that would have not known her name. Now, if you had presented you argument in the way you did above, then it would have made more sense.

How are they doing the contact tracing? Even when I was under quarantine restrictions and got my laisse-passez for going to the store, no one recorded my entry. They just visually inspected the permission document on my phone. I would have no idea if I were exposed to someone with the Delta variant, and indeed, by the time they found the person, there appears to be no capacity to trace who they contacted. Perhaps a different story for people who recently entered the country and are supposed to be in quarantine at a state hotel and then later at their home.

It says they all shared a flight with one infected. An Intl flight. But little detail on how the one infectee got passed the testing protocol

So if the guy was tested 3 days prior and allow about a day for the actual flight. How could he have tested negative at most 3 days prior and yet still incubated and became infectious at most on the 4th day while on the flight?

Makes me think he had a bogus/faked test or it was cycled a zillion times and Chile didnt notice or knew to notice the cycle count.

4+ day incubation period, plus the period they are infectious.

could be sooner or later, for all kinds of reasons.
