I have a very small hope that Concepcion will be removed from the quarantine list this week or next and go to Phase 2. Anybody know when they will publish updates?

I believe the current changes are announced Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Looking for Paso 3 for us, fingers crossed.

The government has announced this Saturday that a negative PCR test done less than 72 hours after arrival on Chile will exempt a person from the 14-day quarantine.

There are no notes about allowing non-residents and non-citizens, so no tourist access yet.

that is pretty frigen moronic:

https://www.emol.com/noticias/Nacional/ ... ntena.html

a "recognized lab" is pretty open to interpretation.

3 days prior does not catch the virus in its incubation period, nor a new infection. like say being locked on a plane or airports for 24 to 48 hours. getting to chile is not like say flying new york to london. It takes time.

yea, not seeing anything related to tourist.

40% of chileans have a vitemin D deficiency.

https://www.biobiochile.cl/noticias/sal ... sgos.shtml

I actually find that number low, compared to international studies of similar latin populations. It is probably far higher, but at least they are talking about it.

that article seems to be pretty light on discussion of the relationship to covid.
