What is a forecourt?
Where you park your vehicle by the pump, usually under the roof, to fill up for gasoline , or it can be an open area with no roof.
just spotted the bar code tonight filling up. might give it a try.

That's the one, its brilliant , easy to use. Most useful.
Now they should do something like that for the toll booths down here in the provinces or just a TAG system. Sometimes it's like a 5 minute wait to get in to Puerto Varas (I'm only on the highway for like 10 minutes, I might as well take the new paved parallel back road), especially bad in the mornings when they dont have enough staff on, yet there is about 4 lanes open at 4pm when no one is around driving . But I digress.
What will be the tech implications and way we work from all this? I've been reading a few interesting things.

Do you have Mercadopago in Chile? It’s very common here in BA, for contactless paying.

If you talking about self- service payment yes, I use this on Lider and Sodimac.
I only use cashier when I want to take out some cash. In Lider you can take out up to 90 000 Peso extra and use it as a ATM
Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.

and the minister of health is still a moron.

Their criteria for "phase 4" is the temperature to drop?

yea, we know the virus can survive to temps above 37 degrees Celsius.

so had a brief moment to talk exchange text with my friend that is doctor in spain.

his botton line was it for the most part is like the flue, but highly contagious.

he also said the medical system is collapsing under the capacity issues.

So, again, I think the minister of health in chile is high. Chile's public + private health system simply does not have the spare
slack to deal with a rush of serious cases.

This opinion piece in the Atlantic I agree with.

It is titled "cancel everything".

https://amp.theatlantic.com/amp/article/607675/

so far, the only thing that has consistently worked to control the virus is extreme social distancing. Everything else has just been political hot air, and feel good security theater.

After all these weeks, name me one other viable strategy, therapy, etc. Anything that has worked, pretty much comes down to distancing.

Even washing your hands, wearing a mask, etc although helpful, provides limited protection. It is more of a delay tactic, than a strategy for stopping the virus.

so how many Americans have been tested for the virus?

as of Monday, 9th of march, at 4 p.m.

4,384 people

is all they could verify had been tested, across all 50 states.

from that article:
The testing situation is so bad that Marc Lipsitch, an epidemiology professor at Harvard, says that health officials and journalists should stop reporting the number of positive cases in the United States as “new cases.” Instead, he wrote by email, “they should refer to them as ‘newly discovered cases,’ in order to remove the impression that the number of cases reported has any bearing on the actual number.”
FYI, Harvard is closing down its campus. Classes are going online, and it is telling students not to return after spring break, dorm students have until Saturday to move out.

Many universities are doing the same.
