I saw it near real time on a Twitter feed. They were tossing molotov cocktails down the street and from an apartment building at the police. Unfortunately, independent twitter feeds are the only source for real time info these days.RuneTheChookcha wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 12:42 pmYesterday afternoon, was watching from my building rather serious unrest, with lots of sirens, smoke, and other performances down town, but the news are posted only today. Again, huge delay.

Today in Plaza Italia could be interesting. Apparently, carabineros have posted or will post 1000 officers around the plaza.

Wonder what will happen later this afternoon

Same old, same old? It looks pretty much like it looked like every day during the protests when I lived close by.hlf2888 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 6:57 pmscandinavian wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 11:17 am

What a farce, they withdrew and the plaza is promptly taken by the simios.

They usually started to spread around. They happened to gather at Plaza Italia, but they spread out from there. I would say 1000 is higher than usual, but not by a large margin.

Well I feel for you who live in that area. A simio got smashed/hit by a paco vehicle against the side of a another paco vehicle and is in grave condition. Tonight will probably be violent.

In the news, I see only this one, "diversos incidentes.....":
https://www.biobiochile.cl/noticias/nac ... lpue.shtml
"...Esta noche se informó sobre un incendio que afectó al pesebre ubicado en la Plaza Irarrázabal de Quilpúé, en la región de Valparaíso.
El pesebre había sido instalado este mismo viernes por la municipalidad, por lo que no alcanzó a durar un día en el lugar.
...
Además, en la comuna se han registrado diversos incidentes durante las últimas horas..."

Fortunately, I've moved a few weeks back. We didn't feel safe where we were, especially when the protestors started to play with fire next on the gas station next to our old building.eeuunikkeiexpat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 8:52 pmWell I feel for you who live in that area. Re: ACTIVE CRISIS ZONES
Conspiracy theory:
Evidence that the Metro and possibly the supermarket and bank sackings were directed, planned and aided by external entities.
This would mean that a group entered on 90 day tourist visas around the 18th of October and that their final "ACT" may very well be NYE before their 90 days expire in mid-January.
We shall see in less than 24 hours
