FUCK, Chile will probably have martial law before the States.
To be fair, coordinated arsonist attacks are a good reason for martial law.

I don't think Piñera is up to the job as dictador...

Prediction: KAST will be the next prez of Chile, assuming there is a "democratic" election.

we just t had a report from our employees from our office in Santiago.

they left our office at 5 pm, they just arrived home a few minutes ago. 10: 30 p.m.
There were many station closures and by 7pm, which is still the rush hour, they had closed all of them. So that must have been fun for the commuters. https://twitter.com/metrodesantiago?lang=en

Trump, Putin, Merkel & friends will come to Chile in 1 month. That's the time that Piñera has to get everything sorted out. Probably 1-2 weeks, if he doesn't want his peers to start to wonder if the summit should be called off.

my first thought when they all confirmed they were coming, 'the kids will love it'.

not even European leaders are prepared for the type of protest that are "normal" here.

I am still trying to come up with a new and creative way to protest Trump. I might buy a billboard just outside the airport, so every world leader and reporter sees it as they leave the airport.

I was thinking a big middle finger, with a 'f u trump'; but that seems kind of dull.

suggestions?

Five metro stations on fire in La Florida. Per the mayor, it's too unsafe for the firefighters to get to them. He has just asked live on T13 for Piñera to decree a "estado de excepción" and put the military on the streets.

The Defense Minister is on La Moneda, btw, so this is most likely being discussed.

I have some sympathy for the people that struggle to pay 800 pesos each way each day but do they think money grows on trees?
