Hmm, gotta ask, who would benefit from destabilizing South America? First Argentina, then Venezuela, then Ecuador, then Chile...

Way too much organization and mobilization on a continental scale to be anything other than a global power, but which one?

Yes, I know a lot of Chileans, Ecuadoreans, Venezuelans are pissed, but this is such a mastermind of organization. Some entity is directing all the anger.
I posted this on Oct 19th, and many sneered. But when a retired navy captain says it 9 days later, it is suddenly relevant. Must be my horse avatar. Nobody takes a horse avatar seriously.

thanks Fraggle for posting this:

<<Here's an interesting post by Fernando Thauby, giving 13 different contributory causes for the current crisis. He is a retired Chilean navy captain and in the past has produced high-quality disinterested analyses of inconvenient truths in Chilean society.

Basically he places the blame on the moral corruption that has reigned unchecked at all levels for at least a decade now; this guy is not an apologist for anyone. But to quote two particularly relevant items:

It is not just a few misguided commies or flaites according to e-mails I have received, mr. Admin.--
Things are much more on the worse side than your simplistic comments about Commies. Time to smell the coffee...
Please enlighten us, we would like to smell the coffee as well.

Less than three weeks to the big meeting with the Beast coming earlier.

Does anyone believe that things will be "normal" (meaning no demonstrations or serious disorders) and the meetings will take place without any "contretemps"?

No country is going to risk sending their leaders to a city where people are truly pissed off.

I think there is a misunderstanding about my terminology, and that is perhaps because I have gotten looser with it over the years; but, I also can not talk about the subject for 13+ years, stopping to explain my view each and every post it comes up. call it allchile.net short-hand.

when I say "commie" or similar, this not in reference to "communist" in the sense of 1918, russian revolution, or marxist.

It is really more of a tongue and cheek jibe, at the excessive ignorant exuberance of youth.

It is general reference to the typicaly young, often super silly, far left wing that idealize the "good old days" of the resistence of the dictatorship, idealize che, castro, etc. Corner one. give them the marx test. any book will do. I as yet meet one that was even remotely ever demonstrated evidence they had read past the intro to 'the communist manifesto', let alone something like 'das capital" or similar; but, hey it sounds cool if you are a young university student.

These could also be called 'iphone communist'. They live and sometimes die by their phone (or whatever smartphone) and social media. I think they have confused social media with socialism.

AKA, TEENAGERS (or close).

I have the solution to 99% of this, without hurting anyone.

The government could probably just cancel their cellphone accounts, and bring this whole mess to a screeching halt.

Better yet, put up cell phone jammers anywhere they congregate for more than a few mins acting agressive in any numbers. Any phone id / number still working in that area after 10 mins, blocked permanently.

they can still have free speech, just not together at a location where with 200 friends they are trying burn a metro, a lider, etc.

I dont think I sneered? Maybe I did? I loose track. If I did I would like to withdraw my sneer. Nothing to do with the horse. Bojack is nealy my favorite show on Netflix, I like horses, especially when they come in first.

No Fraggle, you did not sneer. lol I was crediting you for your post about the retired navy captain. Haven't figured out how to bring two posts into one response without copying and pasting one. So I copy and pasted yours and credited you, saying thank you Fraggle for the contribution. Is that as clear as mud? ;-)

Don't come in hinting at shit then dont spell it out, for those of us not in the know, that's just immature. If you dont want to , fine I dont want to know your secret anyway 🤣.

No 41south, you did not sneer or loose track. Thanks for your kind comment. Those who sneered know who they are and probably feel a bit stupid now, or maybe not. Stupidity rarely recognizes itself.

It's fine, thank you. In Firefox I duplicate the page tabs then copy the quote from one post into a response that contains another quote, then close the first one and submit the second. Thats probably as clear as mud as well...:)
