Gringo Friendly Jobs

In Chile, when the old, crazy, and infirm are institutionalized and set out in a wheelchair on the patio to drool all over each other they are referred to as “locos de patio”. This is where we keep our locos de patio on the All Chile Forum.

lan chile is known to give jobs to gringos in professional positions, obviously you will need good spanish, and probably already have a visa here in chile, they are less likely to discriminate because your a foreigner!

Thanks z. Good to see stuff like this (& sensible to put it in the patio). Some of us are looking forward to major funding cuts in our semi-academic professions and trying to figure out whether it would be practical to stick around if the worst comes to the worst in another year or two...

Spotted this one today,

Internship in the area of indigenous rights
An NGO in the Bíobío region, working in the area of human rights protection, is looking for a student of International Law, preferably with a focus on indigenous and environmental law. For five months you will form part of a team of lawyers, working with several cases in the legal defence process. In exchange, you will receive a rate of 360 Euros per month. Interested?

I wont post where, if you want to know the contact, message me for details TODAY ONLY,

Smells like the Mapuches are angling to take those forestry or hydro companies to the inter-american court?

Otherwise, I don't see what a foreign lawyer with international and environmental background would do but fetch coffee (they might be doing a lot of coffee fetching anyway).

Good luck with that one, but should be very educational.
