we sit inside...

In Chile, when the old, crazy, and infirm are institutionalized and set out in a wheelchair on the patio to drool all over each other they are referred to as “locos de patio”. This is where we keep our locos de patio on the All Chile Forum.

we sit inside...

We Sit Inside... (by Caitlin Johnstone)

We sit inside and wonder
what the hell is going on
and what the hell is going to happen.
How we're going to pay the bills
and how the store can still be out of fucking toilet paper.
What the government is hiding from us
and how they'll screw us over this time.
If we'll be okay when we get sick
or if we'll be one of those weird anomalies you read about online.
If those we live with will get bored of us
or if they already are.
If we're going to be okay.
If the world is going to be okay.
If maybe, just maybe,
out of all this chaos and confusion,
in some secret, safe, and sacred space,
something truly good might be birthed.
We sit inside and wonder.

We sit inside and wait
for the lockdown to end
and for the uncertainty to end.
For the latest disturbing news story
and the latest round of disturbing statistics.
For the delivery person
and the video chat ringtone.
For a family member to awaken from sleep
so we don't feel so alone and afraid.
To again hug our elderly loved ones
and to have block parties with our neighbors.
To again meet a set of eyes and smile warmly
at a stranger across the room in a public space.
For the earth to heal itself.
For humanity to heal itself.
For that primal sanity
which lies dormant in our cells
to finally awaken.
We sit inside and wait.

We sit inside and change
our old habits
and our old assumptions.
Our fear of stillness
and our fear of ourselves.
Our hearts
and our minds.
From restless
to rested.
From doing
to being.
From a posture of sprinting
to a posture of meditating.
From frenzied momentum
to the fan blades fully stopping.
From guardedness with our loved ones
to vulnerability and intimacy.
From war with the world
to peace with ourselves.
From an insane species in an awkward adolescence
to who knows what the hell comes next.
Our eyes crack open.
Our hearts crack open.
Our cells sprout leaves.
We sit inside and change.

actually - g~j sit outside quite a bit = far more than inside...
there is lots of sunshine + lots of vit. D...
it's 36*C + 50% humidity outside (covid does not like that)...

we are blessed with many trees around = lots of fresh O2...
we sit in their shade = soothed by pleasant ocean breezes...
our beer is always cold + our pipe is always full...
...
...
other than those distinctions = the sentiments offered above might still ring true...

The world will be a different place after all this shit wraps up. This is like 911 BUT on a humongous truly global scale of unimagined dimensions. The economic reset that we have been talking about for more than a decade will be a reality this time around. And in real objective terms, this was just a fucking flu with perhaps worse than normal outcomes for the very old or already health compromised.

See you on the other side.

Outside the greater domestic violence and abuse this may cause, I don't get the people going stir-crazy complaint.

I hope many begin to feel comfortable with themselves and start to actually THINK and explore their inner being for a change rather than ignore it through constant superficial social interaction and activities and materialistic pursuits. But I'm being overly critical as more than half of humanity are robots or like pet dogs and cats...

I see "On the Beach" by Nevil Shute on your bookshelf, when I read it, about 30 years ago, I was horrified, now I think I might be living it.

While siting inside, I am really enjoying these 3 minutes from the "Through The Never" by Metallica.

I don't think "many begin to feel comfortable with themselves" solely because of the restrictive policies imposed externally. This must come from inside, not from outside.

Speaking of me, yes, I am going "complaint", but not because of the fact that I am sitting at home, but simply because the freedoms are restricted, irrespective of whether I am using them or not. This feels less than comfortable.

What is your complete theory of the entire "pandemic" nature? Started accidentally, but presently being actively used by many independent forces, to their advantage and benefit?

Pure ramblings of a long time patio resident:

You got it.

Not the plannedemic they planned for but they ran with it because they are perhaps running short on time before bigger stuff (perhaps cosmic) happens and/or there were unintended effects of the virus in certain individuals (hypothesis: gene changes affecting awareness thus negative to the agenda of the TPTB) to the planned effects (greater compliance and control among the population) of this possibly accidentally released vaccine research virus. Regarding the latter, explains the reason for the massive lockdown which shows they were really trying to prevent the spread among the healthy population of what is fundamentally a flu virus which by nature is highly contagious. Of course the massive lockdown activated the other control freak plans to reshape society for their multi-agenda dystopian dream future (see articles by Whitney Webb, a brilliant millenial reporter and US expat in Chile, on this aspect).

Sit back and enjoy the show as debating and arguing will go no where at this stage.
