Sitting by the Campfire

In Chile, when the old, crazy, and infirm are institutionalized and set out in a wheelchair on the patio to drool all over each other they are referred to as “locos de patio”. This is where we keep our locos de patio on the All Chile Forum.

How much rain does it take to put out my fire tonight? It was a good dump of water around 21:30.

All clean!

our patio lies
on the very edge of silence

how to find our way
to the other side of the night?

In the eighteenth century, watching a stage play, while wearing a monocle, your facial muscles are in a strained state. You hear something amazing or outrageous: your eyebrows rise, the muscles relax -- and naturally the monocle falls.

French "perdit monocle" (lost monocle) -- something that is a source of great surprise.
