Glad you got your pooch in with no problems!

Just a word to the wise for people bringing in pets. Just having rover or fido or fifi up to date on vax (esp rabies) is not enough for Chile, as the US-based rabies shot lasts 2-3 years, and so it may be possible that your pet is up to date, having had the vaccination 1.5 years ago, but that runs afoul of Chile's more than a month but less than a year rule.

This is exactly what I had the veterinarian write along the edges of the official USDA form (Please note that a form printed from the computer is not valid, it must be the one that is numbered with carbon copies underneath.) It worked because I quoted their website. Just to be sure your pet does not go into quarantine due to any other detail, have a look:http://www.chileclic.gob.cl/portal/w3-a ... 90774.html

Good luck!
The link is not working anymore (it's also broken on the SAG site).

#1 and #3 are quite unclear. Should I test my cat for antibodies and parasites before the flight? What kind of anti-parasite treatment is required?

Does anybody know more details about this? Thanks.

This link is broken, I found the right one:

Are SAG workers following their rules strictly in SCL?
Fue vacunada contra la rabia, como mínimo un mes y como máximo 12 meses antes del embarque o se le efectuó un examen para determinar anticuerpos contra el virus de la rabia, entre tres y 24 meses antes del viaje.
I failed to read it earlier and we only 2 months until departure. The cat had vaccination against rabies in July, but it seems we need 3 months more for the antibodies test.

UPD: oh, I missed the "or" part. So if the cat was vaccinated this year, he doesn't need the antibodies test. Am I understanding it correctly?

Odd, your link gives me an error: 'Página no encontrada' / Page not found.

It looks as if the document of vaccination is proof, as long as it not older than 12 months, and not less than one and a half months old.
