u.s. visa aplications and ESTA now requires social media accounts and more

Post by admin » Sat Jun 01, 2019 6:54 pm

well, here is another fine USSA police state security theater trick for you:

https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/state- ... 019-06-01/

anyone applying for a visa must give up their social media accounts, phone numbers, email addresses, and international travelthe last the last 5 years.

ow yea, don't forget to tick the box if you have family that are members of a terrorist organization.

Does my brother voting for Trump count?

You might want to skip mentioning that subversive web site allchile.net

The sad thing is, they could probably get the same info by googling it. some frigen goverment contractor got 50 billion dollars for that stupid program, and in another year the chinese will hack in to it and dump all the info in to a convient to use database for all to see.

What is TISA?

So far, It seems to apply to regular visas and not ESTA which for a number of years has had that section as optional not mandatory (and still is optional) on the form.

First read about it two days ago on FlyerTalk:

I think I was reading a bunch of articles on completely diffrent subjects at the same time, and think one had to do with the Trade in Services Agreement with the EU.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

from the original author, . pastor Martin Niemöller. worth a read.
...the people who were put in the camps then were Communists. Who cared about them? We knew it, it was printed in the newspapers. Who raised their voice, maybe the Confessing Church? We thought: Communists, those opponents of religion, those enemies of Christians - "should I be my brother's keeper?"

Then they got rid of the sick, the so-called incurables. - I remember a conversation I had with a person who claimed to be a Christian. He said: Perhaps it's right, these incurably sick people just cost the state money, they are just a burden to themselves and to others. Isn't it best for all concerned if they are taken out of the middle [of society]? -- Only then did the church as such take note.

Then we started talking, until our voices were again silenced in public. Can we say, we aren't guilty/responsible?

The persecution of the Jews, the way we treated the occupied countries, or the things in Greece, in Poland, in Czechoslovakia or in Holland, that were written in the newspapers. … I believe, we Confessing-Church-Christians have every reason to say: mea culpa, mea culpa! We can talk ourselves out of it with the excuse that it would have cost me my head if I had spoken out.

We preferred to keep silent. We are certainly not without guilt/fault, and I ask myself again and again, what would have happened, if in the year 1933 or 1934 - there must have been a possibility - 14,000 Protestant pastors and all Protestant communities in Germany had defended the truth until their deaths? If we had said back then, it is not right when Hermann Göring simply puts 100,000 Communists in the concentration camps, in order to let them die. I can imagine that perhaps 30,000 to 40,000 Protestant Christians would have had their heads cut off, but I can also imagine that we would have rescued 30-40,000 million [sic] people, because that is what it is costing us now.

They ask for all Reddit accounts which are semi-anonymous. Not many people there use their real names or link to their identities.

'Does my brother voting for Trump count? '

Back in the 60's ships' crew had to answer the questions just to get shore leave..

One ship I was on an engineer answered the question....' any insanity in your family?' with... 'Yes, my sister married a yank'......

He did not get the opportunity to go up the road and give blood so that he would have some US$ to buy beer with....

I see you corrected the title but I still don't see ESTA included in the articles about it.

FlyerTalk will break the news before MSM if it happens but at the moment it is not covered just the DS-160 normal visa app. As I said before, for years (so not Trumpster) the social media section has been and is still optional on the ESTA form. So misleading thread title for now as we have Chileans and developed world (not US) expats who will see it.
