Re: The Trump Administration
While you all are obsessed with this, so far, failed coup.
Trump just won another election ("Trump referendum").
Or is that not part of the narative.
As unwanted as Trump is by so many, myself included, based mostly on his character, the recent special elections are really a referendum not on him, but on the media, the democratic party, and leftist hysteria and methods.
Dirty progressive feet in big mouths, loosing another election.

Re: The Trump Administration
Hardly the case at all. It would be much closer to the truth to say that the Republicans in Georgia and Montana won IN SPITE of Pumpkinhead, and one should remember that these special elections are needed because the congressmen were conservative/retro enough to be picked for cabinet positions in the current government. The Dem candidate in Georgia wasn't even a resident of that district, and he still made the race close.Trump just won another election
The mid-terms are a long way off. Probably not wise to read to much into the fact that Republicans retained their seats in traditionally Republican districts. That's not really news. If a Dem had won, THAT would be noteworthy.
Re: The Trump Administration
Yea, everyone focus on some bullshit stacked district race, and never mind what is going on in syria.

why are you telling us something we all know?
Chile: My expectations are low. Very low.
I accept chaos. I'm not sure whether it accepts me.

Breaking News: NYT reports that Trump misspelled a word in a tweet:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/31/us/p ... itter.html
That's just evil. I bet he also left the lights on.

Yes, this was so annoying. I have lots of word filters in Twitter to avoid US politics but everybody was tweeting this forced joke in some image form...
People keep feeding BS with attention while attention is scarcity nowadays. Then everybody gets tired and can't concentrate on actual problems plus has BS elected because our brains confuse "popular" with "good".

Re: The Trump Administration
Unfortunately, it's not a joke at the NYT. Their original article was a serious criticism of Trump for a typo and their editors continue to refer to it. They used it in an open letter protesting job cuts -- not a joking matter.Space Cat wrote:Yes, this was so annoying. So we get fake news and non-news...I wonder about the real news they are concealing.
Re: The Trump Administration
Here is the most extreme trumpet acts ever:
https://news.google.com/news/amp?caurl= ... pt0-409480
Npr tweeted the declaration of independence, line for line for the 4th, and these trumpet morons thought it was directed at trump.
Witch, i am not sure witch aspect of this story is the most terrifying: The complete ignorance of american history, or everything else.
You dont get to call yoirself a "patriot", and not know what you are a patriot OF.

Re: The Trump Administration
In the early 1970s, I did a survey (in California) where I photocopied the Declaration of Independence onto sheet of paper, then folded the title back, asked people to read it, and then asked them what it was.
A very low percentage of people knew what it was. I think it was 18%; maybe it was less.
Most had no idea what it was; they did not even understand the concepts in it; some thought I was fomenting revolution; the most common comment was that it was an anti-Nixon document.
Ignorance and mis-perception are not new.
How many people are still stupid enough to think "The Civil War" was really a civil war, and was about slavery? The answer is "most".
If you don't know how "The Civil War" is related to the Declaration of Independence, that demonstrates how little you know about both.

Re: The Trump Administration
oh, finally. Some crimes all these investigations can sink their teeth in to. I was really worried this was going to be just another stupid obstruction of justice witch hunt. In the grand scheme of this scheme, that is like a j-walking ticket. A foreign government tried (not sure that is the rite word) to overthrow the U.S. government, and seems they did more than try (to try: an attempt that ends in failure vs. whatever the hell this is) .

My father as a prosecutor and defense attorney was fond of saying, "most people in jail, talk their way in".
Wholly shit, what is wrong with the Trump family? Legal defense 101: shut the hell up!!!
It is not an accident that the right to remain silent was included in the Miranda warning. Just because the NY times was going to blow the lid on all this, still does not mean you go confess and publish the evidence. Not sure who the hell is the legal council for the trump clan is these days, but they really need to start shopping for some better defense council.
at this rate, Donald trump might not be impeached or charged with a crime, but he might have to invite Putin to thanksgiving dinner due to the lack of other family members that can make it because they all have prior engagements they can not get out of.
You know, think it was the Fareed Zakaria that did a special on CNN about the history of Putin recently. He had a nice theory of why Putin hates Hillary clinton. Not Bill. Not Obama. Not Kerry. Hillary specifically. During the Arab spring, while lot's of dictators were being over thrown, she came out and specifically called for the overthrow of Putin on multiple occasions. Encouraging the protesters that were at that time outside the Kremlin. Well, we all know how that story ended.
Nothing like pissing off the former KGB officer, that now runs a nuclear power as essentially a dictator for life. which is probably a sufficient, but not necessary, reason for Hillary to never be president of anything. Very poor political judgement, and all around bad for self-preservation.
