I was involved in UK politics at a very senior level and am aware of the operative ( ex MI6 ) and would testify that he was and still is, held in the highest regard, especially in the area of the Soviet Union.
If what is tentatively reported is a reflection of his report then I would give considerable credance to it. Add to that the other investigative " Russian Connection " data and I see a very difficult period for the Trump administration. As I am aware of further even more serious allegations still to be reported. Get a bet on impeachment within 2 years.

With Trump's propensity to be "economical with the truth", I hope the media continues to rigorously fact-check every claim he makes.

Three days ago Krugman was held up as an 'authority'.
The beginning of the following is an interesting analysis of his 'positions'.

John Maudlin is being disingenuous about Paul Krugman's position on deficits, as the following articles illustrate.

Conservatives think they've caught Paul Krugman in an act of hypocrisy. They Haven't.

Interesting comparison. Let's hope the "Separation of Powers" doctrine remains in effect during Trump's term in office.

Irony:

Another case of: Impunity corrupts.
Absolute impunity corrupts absolutely

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/22/us/a ... count.html

Who are really the most prolific and most dangerous criminals in the USSA?
operatives used a web of shadowy cigarette sales to funnel tens of millions of dollars into a secret bank account. They weren’t known smugglers, but rather agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The operation, not authorized under Justice Department rules, gave agents an off-the-books way to finance undercover investigations and pay informants without the usual cumbersome paperwork and close oversight, according to court records and people close to the operation.

The secret account is at the heart of a federal racketeering lawsuit brought by a collective of tobacco farmers who say they were swindled out of $24 million.
Nearly all references to the A.T.F. have been blacked out of public court records, and most documents are entirely sealed.
The Times has fought to make all the documents public, but the Justice Department has argued successfully in court to keep them secret.
The 'Justice' Department???
BATF also ran 'Fast and Furious'. How many of their agents went to jail for that?
“We voted unanimously to give everything we had to the government,” said Charlie Batten, a U.S. Tobacco board member whose family has worked the same North Carolina soil for generations. “We thought they would take it and run with it. What happened was, they’ve fought us tooth and nail.”
. . .
Three years into its lawsuit, U.S. Tobacco still cannot disentangle itself from the government.

a justification for enforced 'immunization'

Post by Andres » Mon Apr 03, 2017 6:41 pm

Will this be a justification for enforced 'immunization' in the not-too-distant future?
For the sake of 'public safety', of course.

In the absence of John, I shall shortly be finding a random article from the Guardian so that Andres can have an argument with someone. I shall then proceed to defend modern left wing thought at great length for the next 20 pages. Please stand by while I search the Guardian website for something interesting. I will get back to you.

Are you also against the tetanus vaccine? Any objections to antibiotics?
