New law in Chile lets entrepreneurs create business in one day --- 24 January 2013

Congress passes “Business in a Day” bill, making it possible to register a new business for free in 24 hours.

After being on hold for over two years in Congress, the “Business in a Day” bill passed Wednesday in the Senate 15 votes to 13, and the online process should be live in May.

"This initiative is a clear sign of the commitment this administration has to the entrepreneurs of the country and has established a fundamental tool on the road to development," Longueira said.

The process of registering a new business currently costs around US$500 to $750 and requires an average of eight business days to complete. With this new legislation, the registration will be free. Business owners will also be able to modify and dissolve their companies through the online service.

well jeez - we did a search, using obvious? key words...
maybe we had an assumption it might have been in - "Chile Investment, Business, and Money Issues"...
rather than "Legal Issues" where it somehow ended up?
goes to show how search can/cannot work depending on certain vagaries...???
we'd delete the thread - but now it's kinda hard...

haha, yeah, it happens..... i wouldnt of had a clue if i wasnt listening to the radio in the car on the way to work one day... its not really a big thing here in chile....

and as the thread points out..... its not going to help in the long run, you still need an experinced lawyer to set it up to get your giros right!

its going to just create a mess!
