Do any banks in Chile rent safe deposit boxes?

Will be interesting to hear the answer and especially the level of trust one should give a bank with this.

This may be as close as you can get. But Brinks has a good reputation and it maybe better than banks' boxes after all:

They certainly used to have them. Some years ago they tunnelled into a bank on Apoquindo in front of Apumanque over a long weekend via an empty property next door and emptied the safe deposit boxes. No one could prove the value of their loss, some didn't want to say. It must have cost the bank a fair penny. Banks probably decided it wasn't worth the risk.

Doesn't sound like a lock box. It is a specialized active management service for financial documents only. Not a place you can put a bar of gold.

3 for $1000 is the average going price. Standard in Shiiile are wide-mouth jars.
