Where to Camp North on Ruta 5

Post by lorimathews » Sun May 31, 2015 4:56 pm

I am thinking about traveling north from Santiago in a few weeks (as far as Antofogasta) and I am looking for recommendations on places to camp along Ruta 5. Or, any other recs on must sees/dos along this route! Thanks

Yes - what Dosedmonkey said. Vicuna or anywhere in the Elqui Valley. Keep your eyes opened and looking up at night. Truly awesome if you get lucky!

Where is the best place to stock up on dried fruit? I visited La Serena years ago and fell in love with the dried mango? By the roadside
