Right now, no. We are all under quarantine down here. If the cities all move to phase 2, then yes, it’s fine within the region. But we can be moved back to quarantine in a heartbeat.

Nope. They are all in Phase 1 full quarantine, and probably will be for a very long time.

Unless you want to spend a pile of money just to look at the inside of government sanitary residence and / or pay massive fines when you screw-up and don't know about the sudden changes to the rules.

Let me say this again to everyone thinking of traveling to Chile:

DO NOT COME TO CHILE!!!!!!!!

Do not come to Chile right now, unless you have very specific, must do, no other way to avoid it, type business in Chile.

Let me put this in perspective to how vague and arbitrary the quarantine rules are right now.

Where I live in Frutillar, is under phase 2 quarantine. That means weekends everyone has to stay home, and with limited permission for specific task, you can go out to say buy food, go to the p harmacy, etc. Only essential outings.

Every single county around us is in phase 1 lock down. Both major regional hospitals are out of beds. Any bed.

Well, our cases have spiked massively in little Frutillar, population 15,000 or so. Yet, the government has not placed us in phase 1, even though we are well over double the cases they placed us in quarantine for two weeks earlier in the year.

O.k., guess they have their reason. Here is the kicker. Even the local newspaper ran articles repeatedly saying that Frutillar was going to enter phase 1; yet, it never happened.

So, even following closely in Spanish the local and national media, you might not find out what the rules are until you are talking to police officer that is writing you a big old fat fine for potentially 10's of thousands of dollars and escorting you to government run hotel to be quarantined.
