Domestic travel

Post by Huelshoff » Thu Apr 30, 2020 4:46 pm

Has anyone heard anything about a near suspension of domestic air travel? I am trying to fly from Santiago to Valdivia, and can't book a flight in the month of May on LATM, Jetsmart, or Sky. I found a LATM press release dated (I think) 20 April that said they were suspending flights to all but eight cities, and of course Valdivia was not on the list. LATM and Sky will allow me to buy a ticket in June, but that seems a risk if this continues. Does anyone have any information on this?

Found flights next week Puerto Montt to Santiago from Tuesday, I imagine nothing over the weekend for the lockdown, but yesterday found a few for next week

Don't forget you will need to fill out an online form and its generated QR code immediately prior to your trip as your salvo conducto to travel BETWEEN REGIONS.

yea, just based on the jet traffic I can hear from my front porch, pretty thin on the domestic flights to Puerto Montt these days.

think I have seen or heard one helicopter today. long weekend like this, typically there is an easy 15 flights a day (that I even notice) plus other traffic. It is pretty quiet here now.
