Sort of border jumping?

Post by klindgren » Mon Jan 29, 2018 1:12 pm

I'm looking at my options for what to do in the coming months for my girlfriend and I.

We spent June-December in Chile, 90 day tourist visa and then extended for another 90 at the immigration center in Santiago. In December we flew down to Osorno and took a bus into Argentina where we are now.

I am wondering if we will be allowed back into Chile in mid March if we take the bus back to Chile or will it be difficult since we have already stayed in chile for almost 6 full months as tourists recently? Ideally we would want to stay in Chile for 1-2 months before heading north. (Argentine flight prices are atrocious compared to Chilean so flying north from Chile will be much cheaper than doing it from Argentina)

I could be wrong but i think 90 day tourist visa recounts to 90 days each time you cross the border-----so if you were only Chile for 5 days and you re-enter its 90 days again not 85
