Construction regulations for restaurants
Hello everyone,
I'm about to open a restaurant in Las Condes, Santiago.
Are there some construction regulations that I have to take in count?
Does anyone have an Architect with gastronomic experience to recommend me?
Suggestions are more than welcome!
Thanks!
Rómulo.

Why not consider an existing one that’s closed down? There’s enough of them around.

The municipality would be the place to go for that information. Each municipality has its own regulations. Not only construction but the various license you need to dispense food and drink.

If you're serious about this idea, you should be aware of the following considerations:
You need this for starters.
Google is your friend:
. .
And other stuff.... This should actually be an architectural project complete with numerous opportunities to leach money from the unsuspecting wannabe restauranteur, ie subprojects like water, electricity, gas installations.
Without fulfilling all the requirements, the municipality will not issue a Patente.
If it's intended to serve alcohol, another patente with separate requirements is needed; approval is subject to revision by Carabineros.
And you have to register with the tax service. In short, a whole mess of tramites.
