Alternative medicine in Chile?

Post by Al Nariz » Sun May 27, 2012 2:19 pm

How prevalent is alternative medicine in Chile in general?

Specifically, I'm wondering about heavy metals testing and chelation, not exactly alternative but not common. I'm not surprised they don't exist here in Uruguay, but neither do TGI Friday's or Home Depot ;-)'

Regarding alternative medicine, there is one, named after my very forum nick, viz., GATO (widely available in Chile).

With respect to heavy metals, here is a link for your review:

Both of those places failed in Shiiile.

And so did both of the two recent posters, trying to say something helpful to the OP.

So, let me ask this another way: how prevalent are alternative medicine practitioners in Chile?

Specifically, there anyone who might be aware that excess mercury and lead (for example) in the body are harmful, worth testing for, and worth removing?

What is really harmful, worth testing for, and worth removing -- this is human ignorance, and delusion.

None other than "gato" is THE alternative medicine practitioner (if only I am not mistaken, which very well could be so, for I am almost always mistaken, as of recently).

There's nothing I love more than a philosophical discussion, but the poor OP is awaiting a different sort of answer and has patiently tried 2x to obtain the info. Being new to Chile, I too would like to know the name of a good doctor, familiar with nutrition and alternative treatments.

Alas, dear Rune, human ignorance and delusion are facts of life for us all, to one degree or another.

Me too -- would like to know the name of a Good Doctor, familiar with nutrition and alternative treatments, who would prevent the three friends, viz., Sickness, Old Age, and Death -- from visiting.

Pickup both alternative health papers at the kiosk and look at the ads, go to Organisk and check the bulletin board. A segment of the cuico set are really into it, they can direct you in your in-Chile search.
