Constutional Congress Election

so now time to go through the whole electing the representatives for the constitutional congress that will write the new constution. election is set for April.

I had a good giggle this morning when I seen this poll in the local paper.

Which the natural next question to ask every Chilean:

The biggest issue, is the congress is still moving the goal post around as to who and how the representatives will be selected.

Here's a poll, that amongst other things, finds that more people would prefer an average citizen over professionals such as constitutional lawyers or academics to draft a new constitution.
Yeah sure, how about a bikini model or someone who dresses as pikachu. We don't need no experts to tell us what to do.
Is this the sort of thing they mean when they talk about the "cons" of democracy?
