Not basic here. I don't know but probably one of the specialty shops like tiendanatural.cl. Google "productos natiurales melaza". That might turn up something.

How about jaggery blocks from an Indian grocery? Actually tastes better than molasses.

If an Indian grocery has it you should try Don Harry on Manuel Montt in Providencia. Hopefully you are in Santiago but you don't give a location..

How is it different from chancaca / panela?
Panela ... is unrefined whole cane sugar,

Panela is known by other names in Latin America, such as chancaca in Peru, piloncillo in Mexico....
