I'm familiar with this kind of service, I've worked with a freight forwarding company previously. However, they would charge an average $50 to $60 to ship the items (the seller sent me through an express shipping option for free) and I would pay roughly the same in terms of taxes, as they would also charge their "Desconsolidacion" and "Manejo" fees.

I'm a bit in a hurry to get the new glasses, but not so much.

I think what I would want for Christmas would be a quick vacation. I will be mostly covering the holidays for my American colleagues, but it's not too much of an issues, as I can easily travel later on in January. It was a very nice year, actually.

I thought impossible things were out of the table.

For some, nothing is impossible so why not.....it's Xmas after all.

It's rarely over 20k CLP for me even for bulky packages like shoes. Usually it's worth it but I use Amazon whenever possible because it charges about 2 times cheaper for shipping.

The "Desconsolidacion" and "Manejo" are the same as the customs taxes, as a rule. I've worked with freight forwarding and I have received a couple of packages previously, and that was the answer I received from them regarding this. While not bulky, the glasses are expensive enough that the tax would be in the $130~ish range, and since it's not too urgent, there's no point in paying those fees.

Amazon would certainly be my first option, but they unfortunately don't offer the item I needed.

Good health for loved ones and my get-out-of-Chile ticket.
