Help identify my first UFO!

Post by Rhodolite » Tue Mar 21, 2017 1:59 pm

On Monday, between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. and again at 12:30 a.m. this morning I saw my first UFO. In the eastern sky, above or just in front of the Andes, brighter than the surrounding stars, hovering, appearing to twinkle, occasional jerking movement to the left, then back to the right, with small wobbles up and down. I took my little 8x binoculars and -truth- there appear to be individual lights (on the bottom?) which change between red and white.

I though someone playing with a drone, but DH says it is too high to be a drone. It did not follow an ecliptic pattern during the hour or so I was watching. WHAT is it?

Across Rio Teno from Los Quenes and a few km lower altitude.

again, my theory is the U.S. gov has partnered with the Chilean gov to test flight things in Chile to mess with the Chinese and Russian sats and intel. Probably most of that these days is smaller drone type planes.

It would be interesting to check the increase in spy sats covering Chile. Someone in the public I am sure is tracking them.

And what better place to base out of than Antarctica?
There are two ways to be fooled.

One is to believe what isn't true;

the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

It's up there right now. The strobe lights could be the flashing lights I saw with the binocular. No green light obvious as such. Birds glide on air currents, this object moves very jerkily. Tonight it's movements are larger.

Don’t let yourselves be fooled by ersatz UFOs. Genuine ones should have the words written right on it. In Chile that would be OVNI (objeto volador no identificado). Remember that, earthlings.

Maybe a spotlight? If you happen to see it during an earthquake, see if it bounces around at the same time. That could indicate the light source is on the ground.

That's good advice but I only trust the ones where you can see the little green men waving in the windows.

The OVNI stories abound in this part of the country. The abuela of our dueña and other old family members, have some rather interesting old stories likely predating some arrangement with other nations. For what it's worth, I agree with admin, many of these may be US made.
And yes, eeepat, Antarctica is steeped in mystery regarding strange flying contrivances since at least Operation Highjump in '47.
All lies and jest, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.
