It was REALLY crowded there today (like Black Friday at any store in the states).

We were crazy enough to go, just to look around and buy a few things. It's very nice!

Jumbo carries a variety of items imported from Germany (chocolates, pickles, cookies) that you won't find at Lider. At Easter and Christmas they bring really lovely (to look at and to eat) foil-wrapped chocolates.

Do they treat workers better than Lider?

Yes, to me it seems like Jumbo has German products, Tottus has UK (Tesco) and Asian, and Lider of course American stuff.
Haven't been in a Unimarc for a long time...

I buy UK peanut butter there. They have some European things but not so many.

Lider also carries stuff from Mexico, Peru.

the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

I found vaccum-packed corn tortillas in the Jumbo at Portal La Dehesa last week - very exciting! Funny how in the midst of all this doom and gloom in the news, the opening of a new supermarket can evoke such excitement! Yay for the small things in life, long may they give us joy!
