This is a great time to buy a kite and have a go at it, it can be fun. However, if the rain is accompanied by lightning do not place a key on the string.

Tie the roof down good Swami.

Had a strange couple of hours of high winds this morning with no visible front here on the south V Region coast.

The wind blew much harder than usual in La Serena today around noon for an hour or so. The forecast says we'll have rain tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon.

Some people tie their roof to bamboo wind chimes, in hopes the wind would play with the toy, and not with the roof.

At the moment the same forecast says 54 km/hr at 2:00 AM... O, God Almighty, what does that mean...

dear sri~, it's a most invigorating situation you have - you must be proactive...
some might suggest flying a kite <btw, a fav. idle~time for g~j>
others might suggest this would be a most auspicious day to place new prayer flags...
so may the multitude of mantras manifest much metta - round the whide whirld...
<for the benefit of all sentient beings, of course...>
this power is yours to share, right now, on such a windy day, from your empty field, under the volcan...

Now that the Entel network has been restored here, this is to report it was down at 23:00 completely, even no red lights on top of the tower, no backup power source working, and there is still no electricity -- posting running on battery. It was quite a stormy night.

The Entel tower is operational due to their backup source restored, however the village is with no power. This is normally so when there is a blackout, but cell tower going down for hours as yesterday was unusual. I post running on battery but the 3G signal from the tower is good.
