Applied for Permanent residency and received...??

Post by soyena » Thu Jan 03, 2013 2:46 pm

I applied for permanent residency through mail and received a mail back with the 1st page saying that "ha sido acogica a tramite" and followed by some explanations about how I can keep doing whatever I do here for 6 more months until the residency is issued.
2nd page is a copy of my application form with all my datos printed.

Now, the 3rd page is which I have question about.

What does that mean? `
According to the 1st page, I am all set and am simply waiting for an answer from them within 6 months whether I shall receive my permanent residency or not. BUT according to the 3rd page... I should send a copy of the letter that they sent me to policia de investigaciones de chile, jefatura nacional de Extranjeria y policia internacional? They addresses were not provided to me... I am a bit confused.

I received this letter a month ago and never read the 3rd page LOL until today, now am worried....

Help~

Yeah, it sounds to me that it's just a warning. Hope that's all it is.

Best,

It says you were in the country illegally and you should behave from now on or they will apply the full letter of the law. They are copying the PDI with the information.

soyena,

did you send in your papers 90 days before your last visa expired? or the day it expired?

or

in your certificate you got from the PDI with your exits and entrances for chile there was an error?

I sent it in the day it was expired... I think it was already expired.... Don't think there was any error with the PDI cus I never left the country.

It could of been as simple as that,

You must send it in 90 days before it expires, because that means you were without a visa between the time you sent it and the time they got it....

So, should I write an apology letter to them or something? I tried to find the word "multa" but can't find it.

According to what you wrote, they are not asking you to take any action. Just strictly follow the law from now on or else.
