I sometimes scroll through the emol comments, I can't work out if they are just trolling or are genuinely that ignorant. The level of insults and personal attacks on emol is actually quite surprising and gets pretty tiresome. I'm not a big fan of censorship, but sometimes on sites like emol I feel it would be justified, it distracts from the occasional gem comments and is unnecessary to the debate to continuously call people fachos o mentally retarded etc. I have to be in the right mood to read the comments.admin wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 4:18 pmI am referring to all the morons commenting on emol that he was some sort of hero or is being politically persecuted. They have no clue about him and where he comes from.fraggle092 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 3:39 pmWho said he was?

Emol has a lot if bots, besides a hard right wing bend in its readership.
Bio bio has the opposite problem. Lots of bots, with a left wing readership.
If you read both, they kind of cancel each other out.
Both are using fakebook accounts.

There in lies the problem I guess, quite a lot of newssites have moved away from allowing fakebook accounts and you have to register with them to comment.

I can put up with the emol comments most of the time, but bio-bio is the pits and I never read them. Gutter language, lies and insults. At least we can still "agree to disagree" on this admittedly moderated forum thanks admin.41southchile wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 4:33 pmI sometimes scroll through the emol comments, I can't work out if they are just trolling or are genuinely that ignorant. No I totally got to hold my nose when i read the bio bio. They have a bunch of really pro-communist / socialist reporters, that every so often go so far that even thei mostly far left readers blow-up at them in the comments.fraggle092 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 6:55 pmI can put up with the emol comments most of the time, but bio-bio is the pits and I never read them. Re: John Cobin in the news
So seems he bought 500 rounds just days before the shooting, but only admitted to buying 250.
https://www.biobiochile.cl/noticias/nac ... laro.shtml
For those that do not know, there is a yearly limit on how many rounds an owner of a licensed gun can own and keep in their house. They can buy and use more rounds than that limit at a gun range.
Believe the yearly limit is 500 as I recall, and i think the 250 is the limit at one time that can be baught . He probably exceeded the limit, but not sure they are going to add new charges over that. It does go to intent.

Re: John Cobin in the news
He also apparently was on his way to meet some other " libitarian yellow jacket" friends at the shooting range. Which supports premeditation and conspiracy.
Both explain the grounds for why he was not released while awaiting trial.

Not only that bias, but I would often find basic errors reading their articles, numbers that were transposed and things like that, in their rush to spout out their left wing views, basic fact checking and editing was below them I guess, I gave up reading them a while ago. I still occasionally listen to them when I am in the car, but since covid the time I spend in vehicles has reduced by about 90 percent, so I dont hear them that often, they did have a few good commentators/personalities on the radio.admin wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:54 pmNo I totally got to hold my nose when i read the bio bio. Re: John Cobin in the news
A few years ago a friends dad from Chile visited NZ when I lived there, he was a hunter so we went and and had a look at a sports and gun store. He was amazed at what was avaliable and what someone could buy in terms of guns and ammo. That was pre the christchurch massacre so in typical New Zealand knee jerk reaction, and after the horse has bolted styles , they changed the laws in NZ and now lots of things have been banned and ammo limits are in place. So yeah I vaguely remember that Chile took those things a lot more seriously in terms of legal access and availability, guess that comes back to the history again.admin wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 8:04 amSo seems he bought 500 rounds just days before the shooting, but only admitted to buying 250.
