On a related note, we had the third fire (that i have seen in the news) in a month in southern chile of immigrants living in communial houses and buildings. None of them arson, but things like eletric fires and so on.

I'm not telling how i know, but lets just say that 99.9% of the people that think their identity is private on the internet dont understand how the internet works.

Some little 15 year old wanker a few months back sent me an email threatening to kill me because he claimed we were helping foreigners buy mapuche land. Which by the way, we have never helped a single person buy mapuche land, and actively stop foreigners from trying. He thought he was being some sort of hacktivist and going to help the mapuche. Anyway i sent him a google street view shot of his house in los angeles california. That ended that conversation.

I get more emails and phone calls every year from human traficers attempting to setup routes than that. We either dont respond to the emails or hang-up if they call (if i dont they keep calling back), but i am sure someone in chile did pickup the phone.

The most typical one is someone out of india, bangledesh, or the middle east saying something like, "i want to open a company and bring 'employees' to 'work' in it".

There is a clear qualitative and quantative concern for bringing unskilled employees and getting them residency vs. Say a legit biz expansion to chile where the person calling will want to know about tax issues, incorporation, etc and bringing a few key educated employees is a really a secondary concern. They also tend to not ask how much it costs, and no legit buisness person is going to dismiss the costs like that. even if they have lots of money, they still have a budget to balance.
