Re: Cobertura Parcial vs Cobertura Total on F22 income declaration

I ran the simulations at this site, and compared the results for partial and total coverage: https://www.leyhonorarios.cl/ And if "licencia médica" is like "paid sick leave", then the main difference I could see for my healthcare benefits, is the amount I could get paid during sick leave. There migh...

Interesting, isn't name supposed to match RUT and bank account? Try running a Google search on the RUT to see if it comes up with the correct name.
The original name and RUT matched. But I only have a partial name and no RUT for the new one.

Re: problem with Banco Estado's online banking

I was looking over my transfer history a couple days ago, through the Banco Estado website, and one of them had the wrong name listed as the recipient. The email I got when I did the transfer had the correct name. But the name showing through the website now, is someone I never heard of. Has anyone ...

I chose the one that gave me a larger tax return.
That's what I want to do, if it doesn't affect my basic healthcare coverage. The AFP is worse than useless for me, so opting for less of that's a no-brainer.

Cobertura Parcial vs Cobertura Total on F22 income declaration

I'm working on my income declaration (F22) in SII.cl, and it's giving me an option for COBERTURA PARCIAL (17%) or COBERTURA TOTAL (100%). Does anyone here know what the difference between the two is, for healthcare benefits? I think if you pay 17%, you only get 17% of the total benefits for some thi...

Re: Tax Question

I recall because it was never approved by the US Congress (Senate) but then, if you look at the details of the information sharing aspects it is quite disturbing. Was it approved by Chile? Maybe Chile doesn't want to double tax anyone, even if they technically could? Maybe it's just too much troubl...

Re: Tax Question

I don't know the answer, but did you try reading the convenio de doble tributacion? Even if you get professional advice, you should still read it for yourself if it's important to get it right. I learned that the hard way, more than once. From my understanding Chile and the US no longer have a conv...

Move to October 25th.
Thanks. I want to see if they try to make changes related to the virus. I haven't been following this thread much, so maybe someone's already mentioned it.
