Re: is there something in the water?

I just noticed that El Patio doesn't show up in the "Recent Topics" section. Is this some kind of conspiracy? A communist plot to silence old people?

Re: problem with Banco Estado's online banking

I'm doing some experimenting with this. I created a Nuevo Destinario through the Banco Estado website, and entered the info for the recipient. Except I entered the wrong account #, and the website accepted it. Then I tried transferring 1000 pesos, but go this message: Monto supera el saldo maximo p...

is there something in the water?

My last response to one of mem's posts about the virus got disappeared, so I'm posting this one on El Patio. I think that's where tin foil hat stuff is supposed to go. Anyway... Has anyone here noticed a change in their water? I don't remember exactly when I first noticed something, but it was defin...

Re: Banco Estado in-person: can it be done at any branch?

Hi there, fellow forumites. I had an issue with my Cuenta RUT today where I tried to do a deposit and I was told that it couldn't be processed and that I would need to seek an "ejecutivo de cuentas", which I assume means a bank employee. Did anyone ever have a similar experience? Can I go to any Ba...

Re: coronavirus (COVID-19) in Chile

Then there are the "mild cases" that result in permanent neurological issues. Check out reddit.com/r/COVID19positive I know from personal experience that high levels of stress will exacerbate low b12 levels. And that will cause all kinds of neurological damage, that can become permanent if you don'...

Re: coronavirus (COVID-19) in Chile

Deaths are one thing. Then there are the people that fall into the category of "80% of cases are mild" Well here is an example of a "mild" case. 30 year old healthy person with low BMI, no comorbidities, exercises and eats healthy gets the virus and eventually is labelled "recovered" ans discharged...

Re: Cobertura Parcial vs Cobertura Total on F22 income declaration

I don't know if you gain anything from total coverage, if you already have insurance that includes paid sick leave. And if you're from the US, you could lose some social security benefits by having an AFP, because of the Windfall Elimination Provision.

Re: Chilean Borders To close Wednesday, March 18th

Yeah, I don't think it would be too hard to improve the wood smoke problem. Especially compared to what's being done for this virus. We know the wood smoke is a big problem, but this virus? From what I'm hearing, the tests they're doing aren't even specific for covid-19. And even if they were, they ...

Re: Chilean Borders To close Wednesday, March 18th

I did a quick search, and found this: https://undark.org/2018/12/05/air-pollution-chile/ In Chile, Bounded by Mountains and Smothered by Wood Smoke Record-setting air pollution arises from traffic, industry, and in some regions, heavy reliance on wood burning. ... In Chile, the impacts are particula...
