Re: Roxette at Santiago!

LOL couldn't wait and just bought my tickets!! I'm going with my mom, she's got no idea who Roxette is, but I just gave her tons of Youtube links and asked her to review before the concert :P

Roxette at Santiago!

Just wondering if anyone's going to the Roxette concert in April! I am sooooo psyched! :P
I wonder if there's parking lot in Movistar Arena... never been there, yet.
I have not bought tickets yet since I missed out the 20% discount :( if anyone got extra ticket with discount, let me know!
Thanks

Re: Initiation to Chilean food.

Talking about seafood... I honestly can't find fresh seafood here. If they are super-frozen fresh, I get, but most of them are just soggy and... NOT FRESH! Honestly I do prefer to purchase my seafood "live", but that seems too much to ask here, even shellfishs are dead open. Anyone have any idea whe...

What is manteca modificada?

A quick question, what is manteca modificada that looks like lard but dont think it is. White butter thing that is always right next to other normal butters. One other question, are there shortenings here? what are they called?
Thanks!

Re: Does anyone know were one could get "farm-chicken"?

Goti and Tombi, thanks both for the great info. Just thought I would post here for anyone who might be looking for the same thing, I just found out that there's this organic shop/restaurant where they do sell organic beef and chicken! They also have a restaurant there but I think it's mainly vegetar...

Re: Why is there no canned soup in the supermarkets?

May I ask, where did you find those real unrefined sea salts? I've been begging every friend/family that comes to visit to bring me salts. I heard they have good ones in Peru too... but can't find them in Chile. From what I heard, those so called chilean sea salts are actually extremely refined eith...

Re: Does anyone know were one could get "farm-chicken"?

Roto is right, I am from Taiwan. The no washing or bathing is old tradition which I do not think anyone follows for more than a week nowadays (specially if it was a natural birth). So you guys are telling me to drive around town, pull over any house that looks like they have chicken, ask if they do ...
