Yey, great info, guess I did not take off the outter film. And I thought I will never try jibia again, guess it's time to head to the mercado (or to EEUU's place).

Question, why is it that the Jibia I buy from Jumbo always cooks to an ammonia taste? I batter them then deep fry. Any idea what I am doing wrong or is there an special jibia prep. course that I need to do?

one last question, since they will be there at 1pm and the boarding doesn't start until 6pm, they need to find somewhere to have lunch... really?! wow, thanks! I thought it should be -0 over there, but guess I was way off :) Good to know that they will be ok (or not? I can't make up my mind).

Does anyone know once you have a baby here, how do you apply for visa definitiva? if that is the way that is. I am still using my working visa which needs to be renewed sometime later this year and am thinking it is much less hassle if I could change to definitiva.

Great info Tombi!!! Yes it is so much cheaper than in the supermarkets and mercado organico, which costs around 10000/chicken. As for seafood, I wonder why but I've tried Mercado Central various times but with no luck, maybe it's cus I decide if the fish is fresh by it's head (love to make soup with...

Oh seafood and chicken? wish I could eat more of those but am having trouble finding fresh/good seafood and chicken here in Santiago *sigh*
