Re: Recommendations for Jan/Feb place

Fellow Ottawans here! I take it that you are thinking of starting next Jan?? Its a bit late for this year, but Feb might still be possible. After the winter that Ottawa has had so far, I am surprised that there aren’t more posts like yours!!! Will PM you with some ideas.

Re: Movistar Prepago Sim

My experience has been that anything over 5 or 6 months and the number ( and the chip) goes puffo. And I was never able to find a company that would allow me to prepay for more than 3 months validity. They are harsh here in Chile!

Re: Best phone and internet companies?

And I thought that hands down Entel won the prize for unbelievably bad customer relations followed by another first prize for unbelievably bad delivery of promised services. So I should be glad Movistar refuses to deal with us?

Re: Holiday Wednesday 19th April for Census

The eggs for our "holiday" brunch had just hit the pan when ferocious barking announced the arrival of the censista! Great timing! But thanks to having already seen the questions thoughtfully posted on this website, the process went quickly and we were able to get back to the eggs before they got co...

Re: Where to live: Air Quality, Elevation, Mine-water pollution, Volcanos

Finding a little slice of heaven, not too far from all the services one might need or want, with no pollution, with a decent climate, good water, reasonably reliable electricity supply, etc. Its possible, we did it! But campo life versus big or even small city life comes with its own set of challeng...

Re: Bad news for Merken lovers

OK, so how do I track doŵn a little old Mapuche lady up this-a-way .... Curicó region? Don't think too many venture this far north. The Washington brand was very spicy and very tasty - a good combination but I can't be sure from whence it hails. And it is simply not worth taking a chance. We had a d...

Re: Bad news for Merken lovers

And had I just finished congratulating myself that I had not bought the Marco Polo brand last time!! Oh no, I had bought the GOurmet brand! I also had a half dozen sachets of Washington brand that I was going to give to friends in Canada - but who knows where the contents of that brand originated? S...
